IDscan Rijk

Your identity will be verified before you take up employment with a government organization. This is done by making a scan of your Legal Identification Document (WID scan), such as your passport or identity card. You will receive an invitation with instructions for this. You can have the scan carried out at one of the service point locations, or scan your ID yourself with the “IDscan Rijk” app via your smartphone.
After you have made the scan, your personal data will be sent securely to your employer. The central government handles your privacy with care, we only collect the information necessary for this ID scan.
