Sadly, disappointing. The art style is a far cry from the iconic style the series had. Several aspects such as the intro are AI generated as well. Music gets repetitive quickly. No sound effects, no atmosphere. Gameplay consists mostly of dragging people back to their jobs. No collectables (yet?) and children are mostly useless. They don't even play. Not fun to watch your villagers do things. Animations are lacking and generic-looking. Puzzles take a lot of tech to solve and don't add much.

I have played most of the Virtual Villagers games and I love this one quite a bit. I even bought some of the packages for game boosts. However, if I can't check my game multiple times a day, my whole game suffers. Like most people, I have things to do during the day. I very, very much wish there was a way to pause my progress, not when closing the app, but as a whole, then resume when I need to. I am already about to have to restart and lose all my progress .. again.

Wish I didn't waste money on it. Even trying to pay still won't help when you're stuck. On average, it seems like you would have to spend like 200+ dollars to upgrade past level 2, and I don't want to imagine how much it will be from then on. Absolutely not! I play games to help with my stress and anxiety. This game triggers me. I just wish their was a game where progression and the needed materials made sense. 1 spending weeks to collect for a 1 min puzzle is crazy.
