About this app

Like more than a million passengers every month, use the SNCB app to make travelling in Belgium easier! It offers simplified navigation and new features for planning your journeys by train and with other public transports (STIB/MIVB, TEC and De Lijn).

The app lets you calculate the best route to more than 500 rail stations, follow the trains in real time, find and purchase the cheapest ticket and much more.

JOURNEY PLANNING
• Calculate the best route from door to door and make your journeys faster thanks to geolocation.
• Save your recurring journeys as favourites and create shortcuts to your favourite places (home, work, nearby stations, etc.) for even more convenience.
• Check train, bus, tram and metro timetables (now also in real time) and never miss a connection.
• View the occupancy rate and composition of every train to ensure a more comfortable journey and smoother boarding.

TICKET PURCHASE
• Buy your train tickets, Multi, Flex Season Tickets, Brupass and De Lijn tickets in the app.
• Pay safely with Bancontact (if you have installed your banking app or Payconiq), Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Paypal.
• Retrieve your tickets and purchase history at any time.

TRAFFIC INFORMATION AND NOTIFICATIONS

There are numerous serious bugs that prevent from normal usage. The most annoying one is that the app keeps logging user out, and if one has tickets bought using the app that means they will not be accessible when you need them. Also, errors pop-up frequently and the app gets stuck. It can be a nice app if the flaws are corrected. Edit: 6 months later, exactly the same problem. App keeps logging out, and now i cannot even log in. Edit: 24/01/2023 cannot log it, year later, same problems.

Awful, ticket purchase fails continuously. App gets frozen when the payment is processed. Waste of time and money. Had to buy ticket on the machine while app continued to say "processing payment" for 2 hours. On the next day I discovered the ticket had been nevertheless charged to my bank account. Awful confusing app, the older one, but although far from perfect, was better.

Almost all features of the previous app are gone. You cannot check departures time of a particular station, there's no overview of current disruptions and works, you cannot enter a departure station before entering a destination, etc. The list goes on. The previous app was working perfectly and it has been replaced with rubbish. Edit 03-23: Still a horrible app. Slow, erroneous, and without any regards for what the user wants. NMBS, please have a look at your Dutch colleagues of the NS.

Hello Sam. Thanks for your feedback. We are currently working on the app and all the features (including those present in the old app) to improve it and meets to the expectations of travelers.
