The recent redesign was made by someone who never heard of the concept "optimum use of screen real estate" and introduces lots of space wasting design elements that make it feel busy and unfocused. Worse is the "news for you" panel that slides onto the screen seemingly randomly, offering news you are probably not interested in because that news primarily consists of undeclared advertorials because most items come from paywalled websites. It's not a bad app, but it got worse. Meh.

This review encompasses the web page moreso than the app. I made the mistake of getting a smaller phone which has cured me of any desire I had to use the device(if any). I use the web page daily. I use the app only if absolutely necessary. I can't find anything on it and if I do it is lacking in so much information simply due to size. I nearly upgraded my phone, but I think I prefer just never using it. Nothing against tech but dual 27" monitors are sooo much better.

UPDATE News will display Unexpected error within 3-4 seconds, which is annoying. The new update now forces a chart on the home page. I don't want it. I used to be able to hide it. There's also a top stories panel that appears when you scroll. Remove please. If I want to read stories, I'll open the News tab. Not quite sure why they force these features on users. Want to rollback to previous version.
