It's pretty good for a pay to win game but it's a GACHA game. The grind is obnoxious, especially the first 30 levels or so; after that you get bombarded with ads. It's kind of fun, but there are too many barriers in the early game, making it play a bit like an idle game until you progress into Battleships. Scores/5: Gameplay: 3.5; Aesthetics: 4; Matchmaking: 3; Freemium balance/Ads/Gems: 2.5. Does not run well on old devices (ads crash game easily).

Fun game, until you hit that barrier where you need more money to buy a ship, but can not. No battles can be won after that, since all ships that are put against you, will win. No tactic seems to work as the enemy you're put up against is adjusted according to your tactic. (Can I reset progress?) I like the various weapons, armors and utilities, the combinations and tactics to switch between combinations.

Up until now, the game has held a 5-star rating for me. The building mechanics are super cool and watching the battles is very satisfying. That is, until your ship turns its' aft (and weak spots) towards the enemy and then doesn't turn to protect itself. No ship captain would deliberately ruin their own ship and get their crew killed. Either the flight mechanics need to be reworked (no more ships flying over the other and then not turning around and getting destroyed easily) or the player needs to be in control of the flying and have the weapons fire automatically. (Look at how Boxing Star handles the fights, algorithms can be analysed off a player's performance and then used in offline battles. Pretty sure that can be done here as well.) Other than that, the game is great and I can't wait to see where it's going!
